에어샤프트 Air Shaft
When air is injected, the lugs are protruded by the expanded tube, clamping and pushing the inner wall of the core. Depending on the shape of the protruding lugs, they are largely divided into bar, key, leaf, and pin types.
01
Bar type shaft
This model, also called strip type, has been the most widely used in recent years. When air is injected, rod-shaped lugs protrude radially from the center of the shaft, clamping the tube.
02
Key type shaft
When air is injected, the key-shaped lugs forcefully press against the inner diameter of the tube, securing it in place.
03
Leaf type shaft
This model has a leaf-shaped lug that protrudes to clamp the inner diameter of the pipe. It is used to minimize the distortion (squeezing or twisting) of the pipe due to air pressure.
04
Pin type shaft
In the case of thin cores such as household wraps, the strong clamping pressure of the key type shaft distorts (squeezes or twists) the outer diameter of the core and affects the roll quality.
Instead of directly pressing the inner diameter of the core with the key lug, a sharp pin is driven into the inner wall of the core to clamp it.
This structure can reduce the whitening caused by air bubbles entering between the stretch wraps during winding, and it winds not only wraps but also thin products such as paper (30g/m2), PP, and PE. It is also used to minimize vibration when working with a long-width touch drum method.
